Bad Bicyles
Bicycles parked next to a "No Parking Bicycles in this passageway" Sign. Despite being a Japanophile, I am also interested in the negative aspects of Japanese culture. I find it difficult to explain why Japanese are able to ignore "No Parking" signs, when so many other aspects of Japanese culture are so law abiding. My theory is that Japnaese are able to commit invisible crimes such as fraudulent misuse of tax payer's money, and stealing information (as in the case of "Tachi Yomi") but this crime is quite visible. Or is it? The sign is in words. There is no dividing line in the world that marks one place as being parkable on and another as being parking prohbited, only in the world of ideas.
