The Japanese are getting prettier and prettier, more and more focused upon prettiness (this man is 31),and eating together (Japanese TV always had a lot of food porn but now it is non stop)

 

and urbanisation (Over half of the population lives in the three biggest cities),

 

 and they have stopped breeding. 

This reminds me of Calhoun's Universe 25 in which the mice, provided with all the food and drink they needed, gathered together in the centre of their giant cage, preened themselves, ate together, stopped breeding and died out.

  As I may have said before. But I noticed it again today.
