Japanese Fashion Feminisation

Japanese Fashion

It is (and has been for some time) to wear layers and layers of lacey underwear over faded and ripped jeans. It is a sort of super femine plus boyish cool look. Without the blue jeans it would look too girly, but the few Japanese girls would not compromise their gender by just wearing ripped blue Jeans and a T-shirt.

In the West there seems to be a gradual masculinisation of fashion. Both boys and girls wear jeans (formerly male labourer's garb) and T-shirts (formerly boys sports wear). In Japan however, fashion is feminised. The guys have taken to wearing make up, and the girls tend towards the ultra-cute.
